Sugar Bush

There is a sugar bush in my hometown. Little Cataraqui )Creek Conservation area. I know, its a mouthful. Its an outdoor centre, which has trails, and a sugar shack. During March break, they host almost a maple syrup festival called "Maple Madness". You take a hay wagon ride from the entrance, back to the sugar shack! They make their own maple syrup, it is fricken delicious, and smells amazing. They have a pancake sale, and other assorted syrup related items for sale. Its great to bring the kids, and yourself. There is also a self guided tour, with historical information about making maple syrup. So you get to walk around the woods! I took this picture at a groove in the ground that had a lot of limestone rocks poking out. The new grass is replacing the old grass.
